Author Biography

Siphokazi Mnguni, Fellow of the African Leadership Centre, King’s College London

Siphokazi Mnguni is a Fellow of the African Leadership Centre, King’s College London. She has a Bachelor of Social Science degree from the University of Cape Town majoring in International Relations, Economics and Business French. She has further completed a postgraduate BA (Honours) degree in International Relations at the University of Pretoria with a focus on Conflict, Security and the International Political Economy. She previously worked at the Centre of Human Rights (University of Pretoria) in the Unlawful Killings Unit as a Research Assistant; where she was responsible for the Unit’s collation of African reporting on the right to life, as well as for ad hoc research projects in support of UN and AU special procedures.

She additionally worked as a Political Science Tutor at the University of Pretoria, assisting in teaching content as well reading and writing skills. She has also played an active role in academic development and transformation at the University of Cape Town through student activism and various student leadership positions.
